landscape

The landscape work stems from Richard’s passion for the outdoors.

As an avid mountain walker he is fascinated by areas of scenic natural beauty, particularly the Snowdonia and Lake District National Parks.

Through his images he aims to project the beauty of these places and transport his emotions into each photograph.

Richard is also considering different types of landscape and through them exploring alternative ways of photographing, as illustrated in the ‘river mersey’ series.

series: River Mersey, Liverpool

In this series of images, Richard has travelled along the river from its tributary to its estuary. In addition to the aesthetic, Richard endeavours to challenge an ‘intellectual’ facet: the exploration of how a river interacts with the populations & environs en-route.
